About this site
A preference inventory built on twelve career archetypes. Here is what it is, what it is not, and how it is made.
What it is
This is a preference inventory. It asks eighteen questions about what you would rather do, and it places you at one of twelve career archetypes in four concourses. The result is a direction, not a verdict: you get your archetype, the two nearest to it, and example roles to look at.
The scoring is shown to you. Every result displays the four family scores and the two modifier positions as numbers, so you can see exactly why you landed where you did — and disagree.
What it is not
It is not aptitude testing. It does not measure ability, and it does not give a score that claims to. It is not career counselling, and it is not employment advice. No one here is a careers adviser, and the site does not promise a job, a particular income, or a role.
How the archetypes were built
The twelve archetypes are grouped into four concourses — Systems & Structure, People & Care, Ideas & Analysis, and Making & Expression. Each is a way of working, not a job title. The example roles on each archetype page are drawn from O*NET, the U.S. Department of Labor's occupational database, and are attributed accordingly. Pay and outlook data are deliberately excluded.
How the site is funded
The free result and every archetype page are complete on their own. A single optional gate beneath the free result adds the full board across all twelve archetypes. That gate is how the site is funded, and it is stated plainly. Nothing you answer is ever sold or shared.
